A weekend designed to be lived, not rushed
THE WEEKEND BEGINS
The weekend started slowly, exactly as it should.
A welcome dinner by the pool, Spritzando_off keeping everyone refreshed and C Gastronomie taking care of the food. Friends and family arriving, glasses being raised, conversations stretching into the evening.
Pascal & Mark were already completely themselves. Relaxed, generous, surrounded by the people they had brought all the way from Zurich to celebrate with them.
There was no rush.
And that feeling stayed throughout the entire weekend.
ARRIVING IN STYLE
On the wedding day, Pascal & Mark arrived on horseback for their ceremony in the Jardin des Statues at Château de Bagnols.
It was spectacular.
But what I remember most is what happened once they reached their guests.
Their four witnesses had prepared the ceremony, and although I didn’t understand every word, I didn’t need to. The looks, the laughter, the tears and all those tiny reactions said everything.
It was emotional long before anyone had actually said it out loud.
EVERY DETAIL HAD A STORY
The cocktail took place along the lavender alley, with an idea I absolutely loved: each guest could have their silhouette cut by the silhouettists, right there on the spot.
A portrait made in just a few minutes, then given back to the guest as a keepsake of the weekend.
A beautiful alternative to the usual wedding favour, just a little piece of themselves, created especially for them.
That attention to detail was everywhere throughout Pascal & Mark’s wedding.
Dance Police and their vinyl bar brought the music, the champagne bottles carried their names, and even the sabre came with a message that could not have been more them:
May the bubbles be with you.
Nothing felt random. Every detail had been thought through, without ever feeling forced.
TRUSTING THE MOMENT
There were a few carefully chosen group photographs, just enough to bring their closest people together without ever turning the afternoon into a photoshoot.
And then came their couple photographs.
Pascal & Mark trusted me completely. They followed me wherever I took them, even all the way into the bathtub of their suite.
That kind of trust is rare.
It gives you the freedom to look differently, to follow an idea when it appears, and sometimes to create something none of you had imagined beforehand.
