I won’t interrupt you every ten minutes to manufacture a scene. I’ll let you live your day and photograph what’s already there between you.
Of course, I’ll step in when you need a little guidance. Couple portraits, for example. I’ll help you find your place, your light and your own way of being together. You don’t need to know how to pose. And you definitely don’t need to play a part.
My approach brings together candid documentary photography, an editorial eye and iconic images. Real life, with bold, carefully crafted photographs that wouldn’t look out of place in a magazine.

That’s what I look for in my images. Not just what looked beautiful, but what was really there. The intensity, the connections, the details, the people. All the life that makes your wedding unlike any other.

Lyon is my European home base for half the year. But I don’t stop at the city limits.
I photograph weddings in Beaujolais estates and châteaux, at wedding venues around Lyon, in Provence, Brittany, Paris, Berlin and Barcelona, as well as in Italy, Switzerland and across Europe.
And then there’s Asia, where I spend the other half of the year. Bangkok is part of my life, along with a constant urge to discover new places, new cultures and new ways of celebrating love.
An intimate wedding in a family home, a big party in a château, a ceremony on the other side of the world, an entire weekend with your favourite people: what matters to me is your story and how you want to live it.

I’m curious, instinctive and always on the move. I love people, travelling, conversations that go off on a tangent and stories that refuse to fit into boxes.
I can stay quietly in the background for hours, then find myself laughing with your guests five minutes later. I adapt to the energy of your day. I’d rather get to know who you are than squeeze you into a ready-made formula.
I live between Lyon and Bangkok. I love cultures coming together, couples who make their own choices and weddings where you can feel that everyone there truly belongs.
I won’t ask you to become someone else in front of my camera. You have nothing to prove. We’ll simply create the right conditions for you to be yourselves.

How do I choose a wedding photographer in Lyon?
Look at full wedding galleries, not just a handful of perfect images on Instagram. Ask yourself whether you connect with the way the photographer tells the story through emotions, guests, details and atmosphere. And take the time to talk to them. The connection matters just as much as the photographs.
What is Castille Alma’s photography style?
My approach combines documentary photography, an artistic eye and Iconic images. I focus on real moments, genuine emotions and the connections between people, while creating more editorial portraits and images when the moment calls for them.
Do we need to know how to pose for photographs?
Absolutely not. I’ll guide you when you need it, especially during couple portraits. My aim isn’t to turn you into models. It’s to help you feel comfortable and create photographs that feel like you.
Do you only photograph weddings in Lyon?
No. Based in Lyon and connected to Bangkok, I photograph weddings across France, Europe and internationally. The location matters, of course, but what interests me most is your story, your plans and the connection we build.
When should we book our wedding photographer?
As early as possible, once your date and venue start to take shape. Some dates are booked well in advance, while others may still be available at the last minute. The best thing to do is get in touch with your date, location and an initial idea of what your day will look like.
